SHOPIAN: District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin today chaired a meeting to review implementation of schemes under NABARD.
The meeting was informed that the projects funded under NABARD are under implementation by different departments in the district and include critical Rural infrastructure like roads, bridges, water supply schemes, PHCs, Veterinary Hospitals and Sheep Extension Centres.
While reviewing the progress on these projects, the concerned officers gave a detailed account of the physical as well as financial progress achieved so far.
The meeting was informed that as many as 33 projects are funded under RIDF of NABARD in the district with a total outlay of 110 crores under different sectors.
The DDC reviewed scheme wise progress of the projects and asked the concerned officers to personally monitor the progress of work and set monthly targets to achieve the desired results.
He directed the concerned executing agencies to accelerate the pace of the work and ensure that the same are completed within the set deadlines so that necessary benefits can be provided to the common masses.
Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineers, Assistant Director Planning besides other officers were present in the meeting.
