Baramulla: A porter working with the army in Machil village in Kupwara slipped from a hill and died on Friday night, officials said.
They said that Mohammad Rafiq Shah son of Abdullah Shah of Ring Bla area of Machil was working with the army as a porter and he slipped from a hill at Machil village and died.
He was shifted to nearby army hospital where he was declared brought dead.
On Saturday, body of the porter was shifted to district hospital Handwara for legal formalities.
Deputy Medical Superintendent district hospital Handwara Dr Ajaz Ahmad confirmed to Kashmir Reader that the body was shifted to the hospital and a team of doctors conducted post-mortem.
