BARAMULLA: Government forces on Friday carried a daylong cordon-and-search operation (CASO) in a Pattan village of Baramulla district.
Sources said that government forces including army’s 29 RR, Police and CRPF cordoned off Gohiwa village of Pattan on Friday morning after getting specific information of presence of militants in the area.
During CASO, all entry and exit routes to the village were sealed and forces carried a door-to-door search operation.
An officer said that CASO was launched after inputs of presence of militants in the area. However, nothing was found till this report was being filed.
