Pampore: The one day long “Block Devas” under “Jan Abhiyan” has broken the ice here at Tehsil Pampore amid pandemic, as government activities got resumed here in South Kashmir’s Saffron town Pampore. The main motive of this flagship programme was to set the developmental activities back on track in the entire Tehsil sub division. On the event the Hon’ble Advisor to Lt Governor RR Bhatnagar visited the Townhall Pampore and checked the modalities of the programme and directed the officers to listen to the genral public so that people should feel free to put forth their grievances.
The Jan Abhiyan is receiving overwhelming response in Pulwama district and people are actively participating in different programs to be part of the decision making at the ground level by participating in developmental activities in their areas.
Meanwhile a Festive look were seen at Townhall Pampore as various village heads and other local population has attended this day long programme on which all officers from Tehsil Pampore have attended the event and listening Public grievances and the officials assured them for their speedy disposal.
All departments have established their counters for registration/redressal of grievances. A counter has been established at the entrance for registration and computerization of general grievances. There is provision of Sampling and health check up for visitors. Revenue department is issuing Income/Domicile and other certificates. All other departments are providing different services as well.
On the event certificates were issued including Domicile certificates, income certificates, SC/ST/RBA, ALC, OBC certificates, scholarships, Aadhaar cards, KCC and Golden Cards during the Muhim Barai-e-Haqooq were distributed among public.
Aiming to improve service delivery and redressal of public grievances, during Awami Sunwai Muhim, officers were available at Tehsil, Block and district level to hear the public grievances.
The camp witnessed huge public participation wherein the people apprised the officers about their grievances and sought early redressal.
Scores of delegations and individuals called upon the officers and apprised them about their issues faced by them including that of roads, availability of pure drinking water, macadamization of roads, improvement of power infrastructure, improvement of service delivery and other issues of public interest.
Nodal officer Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din told Kashmir Reader, that we have held a public hearing programme under the title “Block Devas” which is one the programme of a centrally sponsored flagship programme ” Jan Abhiyan” here at Townhall Pampore.
In this connection a grievance redressal programme was held under my supervision wherein we listened to the public issues, grievances first hand. During the public hearing many grievances were solved on spot and rest were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt redressal through an established tracking system. Revenue department also issued 1403 domicile certificates and 130 income certificates on the spot.
Meanwhile the Hon’ble Advisor Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar visited Townhall Pampore, and checked out the modalities of the programme besides briefing the media scribes regarding this initiative. He further told the Kashmir Reader that ” I am supervising the day to day activities of Jan Abhiyan and reviewing the status of grievances on a daily basis submitted by the designated team. He also appealed to the general public of the district that on every day except on Wednesday and Sunday, these public hearings will be continued not only within the premises of the DC office but also in all the district and sectoral offices on every consecutive Wednesday. He said.
Meanwhile, scores of people from different areas of the Tehsil Pampore participated in the grievance redressal hour programme and put forth their issues and demands pertaining to different departments and of different nature. People also demands transfer of Executive officer Municipal Committee Pampore.
ADC Awantipora Zaffar Hussain Shawl, BDO Pampore Masood Ahmad Wani, BDC Chairman Mohammad Altaf Mir, Gujjar Bakarwal General Secretary Mohammad Yaseen Poswal and officers of various departments attended the event.
