HCBA holds condolence meeting over demise of Bilal

SRINAGAR: A condolence meeting was held Wednesday at the Conference Hall of J&K High Court, Bar Association’s Office at District Court Complex, Moominabad Srinagar, wherein rich tributes were paid to Late Bilal Ahmad Bhat alias Filla who passed away at his Shivpora residence.
The proceedings of the meeting which were conducted by Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, Secretary, Bar Association Srinagar, started with the recitations from Holy Qur’an by Advocate Javaid Ahmad, followed by, an opening address by the Bar Secretary on his own behalf and on behalf of the Bashir Sidiq, Advocate and member of the Executive Committee, a close friend of Late Bilal Ahmad Bhat and was therefore preoccupied with certain assignments at Shivpora.
Mian Abdul Qayoom Advocate and President of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Srinagar, also paid rich tributes to Late Bilal Ahmad Bhat and told the gathering about the efforts made by him for the rehabilitation and for grant of relief to the lawyers, who suffered during the floods of September, 2014.
Abdul Aziz Teeli, Advocate, who spoke next, while paying his tributes stated that he came to know about Bilal Ahmad Bhat, from the day, the later joined the Bar and became friendly with him, within a short span of time.
After the condolence meeting was over, a delegation of the Bar Association went to the Shivpora residence of the deceased to express their solidarity with the members of the bereaved family in this hour of grief.
