BGSBU gets ‘Band A’ ranking by Ministry of Education

SRINAGAR: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri has been placed in Band A (Rank between 6th-25th) in the category of Government and Government aided Universities out of a total 674 HEIs under different categories participated in Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2020 by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
The rankings were announced at a virtual function held from the national capital by the Hon’ble Vice President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday.
Terming it as a positive development, vice chancellor, BGSB University Prof. Musarrat congratulated the teaching and non-teaching staff, students, and scholars of the university and also appreciated the efforts of the Institutional Innovation Council team for their unrelenting efforts to take the university to the zenith of success.
Prof. Musarrat said, “Securing place in Band A is a great achievement for us. We aspire to emerge as a centre of excellence in academics, research and innovations at global level; we need not have to be complacent. We would strive to get better rankings to make BGSBU as epitome of excellence”. Prof. IqbalParwez, Dean Academic Affairs congratulated the BGSBU community, IIC, Innovation cell and Entrepreneurship cell of the University for this Great Achievement. ‘Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA)’ systematically ranks the Educational institutions and Universities on innovation related indicators. ARIIA considers all major indicators which are commonly used globally to rank most innovative education institutions/ universities in the world.
