Siblings injured in bear attack in border town Uri

Baramulla: Two brothers were injured on Sunday evening in a bear attack in Nowshera village of border town Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Official sources said that two brothers were on their way to home from their fields in Nowshera village of Uri when a black bear attacked one of them, the other brother just raised a hue and cry to save his brother. In the meantime some other people also reached the spot and chased the black bear. In this attack both the siblings received injuries who were later shifted to government medical college (GMC) Baramulla for treatment.
The injured siblings were identified as Bashir Ahmad Mir and Mushtaq Ahmad Mir sons of Abdul Ahad Mir of Nowshera Uri.
An official of the wildlife said that the attack was in the forest area, however a team of officials visited the spot for investigation.
