Missing HMT man’s family holds protest, seek whereabouts

Srinagar: Family members of a Srinagar missing man staged a protest in Press Colony on Friday, seeking his whereabouts. According to local news gathering agency CNS Ghulam Rasool Wani, a resident of Khushsipora HMT went missing on 24th July from outside his house, after he ventured out of his house for a walk last week.
According to the family, Wani is a driver by profession and has not ventured out of his house for his work, due to the lockdown and Covid-19 pandemic, but was regularly going for a morning walk early in the morning and returning back home by 9 AM. According to the family, we approached police and filed a missing report with the local police station”, she said. “Police are investigating the matter and have been looking for my uncle, but so far there is no clue about where he vanished”, she added.
The family appealed to the authorities to help them in tracing the missing youth, they said that if any agency, individual or individuals have picked Wani, they should release him as he is innocent and has never indulged in any act that is subversive or annoying for anyone.
