PAMPORE: Assistant Engineer Pampore sub division on Friday reached superannuation although no function was held due to Covid-19 crisis in Kashmir.
Bashir Ahmad Thokar Assistant Engineer PHE Sub Division Pampore hailed from Wattoo village (Aharabal) District Kulgam and served for 37 years and 8 months in Jal Shakti Department.
Meanwhile residents and civil society Pampore lauded him for his services.
“ He was always on his toes to serve the public,” said Mir Murawat Hussain Organiser Fallah Behbood Committee Pampore, adding that during his tenure problems were rare and if some problems arose he always solved them in a time bound manner.
They said that it was nearly impossible to replace him but hoped that someone like him would replace him in order to mitigate problems faced by the people.
