KTA president calls for a rethink on allowing limited trade activity ahead of Eid

SRINAGAR: President Kashmir Trade Alliance Ajaz Shahdhar on Tuesday asked the authorities here to allow opening of all trade segments saying that only allowing operating essential services trade must be given a rethink as on festive occasions the operating of whole businesses is critical.
He said that while trade fraternity were hoping that shops will open from today the decision has left disappointed. The government should reconsider its decision and allow shops to open.
He added that traders are ready to cooperate in implementation of Covid-19 related SOPs.
“We cannot remain under lockdown forever, and there has to be a plan in place for us as economic activities have remained shutting for the past one year, he said.
