BANDIPORA: Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sumbal, Dr Bashir Lone on Saturday chaired a meeting to review arrangements put in place ahead of ensuing Eid-ul-Adha.
In view of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting discussed implementation of SOPs to prevent the spread of deadly coronavirus during the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
The SDM on the occasion directed the concerned to ensure proper sanitation, fumigation, distribution of essential commodities, uninterrupted electricity and water supply besides availability of poulty and sacrificial animals.
In order to curb black marketing, profiteering and hoarding on the eve of Eid, the SDM directed the concerned officers to intensify the market checking and take strict legal action against the erring traders.
He issued necessary directions to the concerned to work with dedication, synergy and close coordination so that people do not face any inconvenience during the upcoming festival.
The meeting was attended by Tehsildar Sumbal, Hajin, Executive Engineers I&FC, PDD, MID and PHE, Block Medical Officer Hajin, Zonal Education Officers Hajin and Sumbal, Executive Officers Municipal Committee Sumbal and Hajin, Tehsil Supply Officer Hajin and Sumbal besides other officials.
