Kupwara: A minor boy drowned in a local stream in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Thursday and died.
Sources said that a minor boy identified as Umer Farooq, 12 son of Farooq Ahmad War resident of Manzgam Tarathpora Kupwara drowned in nallah Kahmil on Thursday when he was bathing with his other friends. Soon after the incident a large number of people reached the spot and retrieved the body. They shifted him to a nearby hospital, however he was declared dead by doctors. Kupwara police registered a case and started the further investigation.
