SRINAGAR: Enforcement Wing of Lakes & Waterways Development Authority and Watershed Management Division today jointly carried out a demolition drive at Dignibal (Kootergund Nallah).
The Kootergund Nallah was encroached upon and blocked by some miscreants by erecting stone blocks as well as tin wall around his land adjoining the said nallah.
During the drive, tin wall and stone blocks were dismantled both manually and with JCB and the nallah will be restored within a day or two.
The LAWDA authorities as per a statement has warned people to desist from making any illegal constructions or encroachments in and around the Dal lake and its catchment areas, which otherwise will warrant stringent action under rules against the miscreant.
