Development, empowerment, equality result of article 370 abrogation : Er Aijaz Hussain

Srinagar: Abrogation of article 370 will mitigate the sufferings of people, as it will pave way for development, offer equality in opportunity, Bhartiya Janta Party National Youth Vice President Er Aijaz Hussain said on Saturday.
Hussain, in a statement said that the article which was said to be the tunnel was actually an impediment for all the development happening across india but devoid in Jammu and Kashmir.
“The framers of the article always said that it is a bridge between the erstwhile state and the country, while in reality it was a stumbling block, “ he said.
The article, he said, prevented direct application of the laws framed by the Indian parliament in JK until approved by the government or concurred by the debunked legislative Assembly. The government in place, whether PDP, NC or Congress, allowed only those articles to be implemented which kept their political clout in tact, he said.
“As a result of which many laws remained unimplemnted in JK. By the abrogation, the laws are now in place, and all the people have an equal opportunity. People have begun to reap the benefits of development, “ he said.
He said much awaited reservation for schedule caste and schedule tribe, citizenship to West Pakistan refugees, and power to retain married Kashmiri women’s property rights was all the results of abrogation, he added.
According to him, it was after the abrogation that much delayed panchayat elections were held, taking democracy at the grassroot levels. So were the municipal elections, he added.
Hussain said this was all because an article 370 was not there as it was acting to prevent an fully loaded action against them.
“Now there is nothing. People must see it’s lights now, “ he added.
“I congratulate Prime Minister Modi ji, and all those who have been able to get us to reap the benefits of the abrogation which was said to be anti-people. Time has proved that it is for our beneficial, “ he added.
Hussain also said that resignation of Syed Ali Geelani from the his own formed Hurriyat was also a result of abrogation of article 370.
