CUK conducts webinar on ‘Life and contribution of Prof Nadeem’

Ganderbal: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Tuesday conducted a webinar on ‘A Tribute to Professor N.A. Nadeem’ at Tulmullah Campus, here.
The opening session was chaired by Prof. Mehraj-ud-Din Mir, Vice Chancellor, CUK. The webinar was attended by scores of reputed academicians, research scholars and students from different parts of the country.
In his tribute to Prof. Nadeem, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir talked at length about his personal and professional journey, he took with the departed soul for the last three and a half decades at the University of Kashmir and, later on at the Central University of Kashmir. In his remarks, Prof. Mir said, “I found in Prof. Nadeem the best possible human, scholar, administrator, teacher and resource person”.
Dr. Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani, Dean, School of Education (SoE), observed that, “the best life a man can ever live is the life of service to mankind and, I believe, the life of Prof. N.A. Nadeem was one such life.” He announced that, School of Education, CUK, is going to start a series of memorial lectures in the honour of Late Prof. Nadeem.
Prof. Nighat Basu, former Dean, SoE, CUK, revealed that, “I was the first research scholar of Prof. Nadeem, who was awarded Ph.D. degree, in Education, under his supervision.” She further revealed that, “Prof. Nadeem was an academician with great research acumen and a wonderful human being.
Dr. Seema Naaz, Principal, GDC, Pampore, also paid respects to Prof. Nadeem and said, “I have earned my Ph.D. in Education, under his supervision and, I believe, the life of Prof. Nadeem has inspired and, will continue to inspire many in the field of Education.”
