Fine realized for violation of COVID-19 SOPs in Anantnag

ANANTNAG: Shopkeepers and drivers in Anantnag were Thursday fined for violating COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines during a drive to sensitise the public about COVID-19 virus.
The Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Syed Yasir Farooq who is also Nodal Officer, COVID-19 Anantnag today visited Anantnag town along with Tehsildar, and other senior officers of district administration Anantnag.
Some shopkeepers and drivers were fined for allowing the customers without masks and not following SOPs to combat COVID-19 infection and a fine of Rs.5000/- was realized for the Red Cross.
A large number of shopkeepers and customers were appreciated for following COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines.
During the visit about 200 face masks were distributed among the shopkeepers, customers and drivers.
