Credit cum Financial Awareness Programme organised by J&K Grameen Bank

SRINAGAR: A credit cum financial awareness programme was organised by J&K Grameen Bank in village Phinder and Bain in Kathua
Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department under the chairmanship of Janak Raj Angural in collaboration with NABARD organized Financial & Digital Literacy Awareness Programmes in village Phinder under B/o Kirpind, Jammu and Village Bain under B/o Pangdour, Kathua on the theme of Credit Camp cum awareness among Farmers, Students & Non-Farm working groups. The Credit cum awareness programme was properly followed with social distancing norms in view of COVID-19. Dignities present in the credit cum awareness programme are Shamsher Singh, HOD FIID, J&K Grameen Bank, Sahil Sharma, Regional Manager Jammu, J&K Grameen Bank, Lalit Hans, Manager Regional Office Kathua & Samba, Local Sarpanchs and Panchs.
They sensitized the participants about agricultural developments in banking sector and latest Govt schemes. They emphasizes that the aim of this awareness camp is to informed the gathering about the benefits of availing Kissan Credit Card and Govt schemes that have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch. A number of sanction letters to various beneficiaries were handed over by the dignitaries to the tune of Rs.43 lac during the Mega Credit cum Awareness Camps to farmers under KCC. They highlighted the NABARD schemes like Farmers Club, SHG, JLG and various schemes under financial inclusion of NABARD for the awareness and upliftment of rural as well as urban masses.
They informed visitors about different loan schemes of the bank and also added that the interest rates on loan and advances in J&K Grameen Bank are one of lowest amongst the other banks. They also added that our bank is extending all types of loan facilities including KCC, KCC under Animal Husbandry, Poultry & Fisheries, MSME’s and other commercial loans and has the second largest coverage in UT of J&K which covers all the remote areas of UT J&K. Awareness about new technologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of Bank cheques, Use of POS Machine, PMJDY RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Mobile Banking Services, AEPS & EKYC through Micro ATM, NEFT, RTGS, PFMS, SMS alerts etc.
Navjot Singh Branch Head Kirpind and Uday Singh Branch Head Pangdour addressed the gathering regarding the schemes of the Bank and stressed upon the social security schemes including APY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and presented the vote of thanks. The masks were distributed among all the participants and proper sanitation was done to all participants of the programme including staff members and line departments.
