PAMPORE: Primary Health Centre (PHC) Kakapora of Pampore medical block has been declared as winner for grant of award under Kayakalp of National Health Mission Programme.
Under the programme, the health facilities were assessed by experts to ascertain their performance against benchmarks in cleanliness, hygiene, safe handling of biomedical waste, hospital upkeep and infection control practices.
Sectoral Medical Officer, Kakapora, Dr Mohammad Yousuf Rather, has thanked the higher ups of the department for their support and guidance apart from expressing gratitude to his team at the centre for their dedication and contribution towards the cause.
He hoped the facility will cover many milestones in the future with support of the higher authorities, local people and the civil society members.
The hospital will receive a trophy, certificate and a cash award for being adjudged as the best PHC under Kayakalp programme.
