DDC Kulgam chairs DLRC meet

KULGAM: District Development Commissioner Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today chaired District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to review the performance of banks and line departments during financial year 2019-20 under ACP and other government schemes.
The meeting discussed in detail progress and achievements made by the banks vis-à-vis implementation of various government- sponsored schemes like Kisan Credit Card, NRLM, Housing for all, Handloom, Weavers MUDRA, SHGs, JLGs, Artisan Credit Card, and Stand Up India besides other sponsored schemes, loans provided by banks under direct lending mode was also discussed.
DDC appreciated the role of banks in delivering services during the Covid pandemic.
He exhorted upon the banks to sensitize the people about various schemes in collaboration with concerned departments to increase the credit flow in various sectors.
The DDC also stressed for greater coordination between banks and line departments and directed the concerned to cover the beneficiaries under various social security schemes including PMSBY, PMJJBY and APY.
He also directed to ensure cent percent coverage of all farm operating families under KCC scheme and laid emphasis on proper implementation of schemes to generate self- employment opportunities in the district.
It was also urged upon all participants that timely sponsorship of cases during the current financial year must be ensured for maximum credit linkages and annual credit plan for the years 2020-21 of the district was also released.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, JD-planning, LDM LEAD Bank, Cluster Head JK Bank, DDM NABARD, District Officers of line departments, district Coordinators of various banks and other concerned officials.
