Rafique Rather nominated as chairman teachers forum Baramulla

Baramulla: Senior trade union leader Mohammad Rafique Rather has been nominated as chairman teachers forum Jammu and Kashmir.
In a press confrence at Shirwani Hall Baramulla which was organised by the senior leaders and workers of teachers forum announced it jointly in statement said that senior trade union leader Mohammad Rafique Rather has been nominated as chairman of the forum.
Rather a senior trade union leader is a resident of Singpora Baramulla.
While addressing media persons which was addressed by founder members of Jammu Kashmir teachers forum Mohammad Rafique Rather, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Mohammad Amin Khan, Peer Nisar Ahmed, and scores of other leaders of the organization said that teachers forum is one of the big and oldest organisation in Jammu and Kashmir but the need of the hour was to appoint Mohammad Rafique Rather as its chairman.
Addressing media men Rather said that he along with other founder members of the organization were not taken on board In respect of decision making of the organization from last one year consequently the structure of the organization got completely collapsed and there was no liaison and coordination between central, provincial, district and zonal bodies. The teachers of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir who had pinned their hopes in the organization were completely ignored.
Moreover, the existing and enforcing constitution of teachers’ forum is misinterpreted and ignored while the caretaker system is being introduced throughout the Jammu and Kashmir which has weekend roots of the organization. He also said, we are not against any group or organization but we want that the demands of the teachers and students should be addressed in a joint platform so that the teachers and students will not suffer more.
At the same time, democracy which is the core of the basic structure of the organization will be restored from zonal to the top most level of the organization and the constitution will not be allowed to be used and misused to provide protection to the rejected lot.
Rather appealed the teaching community to come under a single umbrella so that the issues confronting them are taken with the officers at the helm of affairs and are being early redressed. He also said that every, teacher has nourished this organisation with sweat and blood but their unflinching support should not be taken for granted. Appealing all senior and basic leaders of the organization to join hands to protect the sacred organization.
