SRINAGAR: JK Bhartiya Janta Party leader Advocate Haamid Bhat on Monday strongly condemned the killing of Ajay Pandita, sarpanch of a village in Anantnag district.
He said, killing of sarpach by anyone is always an act against the democracy and such killings is always condemnable.
Bhat said in a statement threatened to go for strike against the government which according to him has failed to protect panchs and sarpanchs.
He said despite participating in the panachyat elections they have been ignored by the authorities.
