Rain, hail damaged crops, fruits in Khrew , Shar Shali Pampore.

PAMPORE: Heavy rain and hailing caused huge damage to standing crops and fruits in various of Shar Shali, Khrew and other Pampore villages on Wednesday evening.
Residents from Shar-Shali, Khrew and other villages of Pampore told Kashmir Reader that heavy rains along with hail stones wretched havoc in their area causing significant damage to agriculture.
G M Bhat, a resident of Shar-Shali told Kashmir Reader that the hail lasted for 45 minutes.It caused damage to walnuts, apple, vegetables, pulses and paddy saplings.
Residents from many other villages of Shar Shali, Khrew Pampore said that the nature’s fury has broken their backs after it damaged their standing crops and fruits.
The residents demanded compensation for the damages.
Member Parliament Anantnag Constituency, Hasnain Masoodi told Kashmir Reader that crops worth of lakhs of rupees were damaged in the hailing in Khrew and Shar-Shali.
He appealed governor administration for constituting a team for assessing the damage.
“The affected farmers should be adequately compensated,” he demanded
