Authorities in Anantnag to frame reopening schedule for the shopkeepers

Srinagar: Amid restrictions to contain COVID-19 transmission, authorities in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district have ordered relaxation in the essential supplies in the district while framing a reopening schedule for the shopkeepers.
As per an order issued by Deputy Commissioner Anantnag on Friday, bakers and milk shops have been allowed to remain open from 6 am till 9 in the morning.
Fruit and vegetable vendors and meat and chicken sellers have been allowed to operate from 8 am till 11 am.
As per the order, Fruit Mandi Batengoo shall operate from 9am till 12 noon on working days, but will remain closed on Sunday.
While CSC centers have been allowed to operate from 10 am till 2 pm, the LOG counters and grocery stores shall open from 8 am till 12 noon, the order said.
It asked the shopkeepers to ensure cleanliness and social distancing norms while warning that any violation against the schedule shall be s tree strictly dealt with as per law.
SSP Anantnag has been asked to implement the order in letter and spirit.
Besides, the concerned departments have been asked to ensure quality, pricing and availability of essentials.
