Market checking held in Baramulla, officials call for follwing social distance norms

Baramulla: A team of officials of police and civil administration visited different markets of Baramulla town on Tuesday where they pressed people purchasing necessary commodities to keep social distance and warned shopkeepers to not open their shops before any official decision.
Official sources said that teams of police headed by deputy superintendent of police along with deputy director food Sheikh Tariq Ahmad, Tehsildar Baramulla Gulam Ahmad Chopan and other officials of municipal council, health,other visited different markets of Baramulla and took stock of situation after Eid ul Fitr. They called upon shopkeepers to not open their shops till government will take take any decision. Depty director food Baramulla Sheikh Tariq Ahmad while talking to Kashmir Reader said that they had received information that some shopkeepers are violating government orders and are opening their business units in market and people who are purchasing important commodities are not making social distance directed by the government.
He said that only few shops like milk, meat and vegetable and some other were allowed to open their shops for limited time till government will take any decision. He said no shops were sealed in the town but many shopkeepers were warned by official team.
