Bakery destroyed in Watergam Baramulla after two men tested positive for Covid 19

Baramulla: The bakery items worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed by the administration in Watergam area of Rafiabad in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday after two persons of two bakeries tested positive for Coronavirus on Wednesday evening.
Locals said that large number of police men along with members of municipal committee Watergam and health officials reached Watergam on Thursday afternoon and appealed people to stay inside their homes and not to venture outside unnecessary.
On the occasion officials seized the bakery items of both the bakeries and later buried it outside the village.
On Wednesday when test report of two people working in two different bakeries at Watergam market came positive, fear gripped among the residents of dozens of villages who purchased bakery items from the same bakeries.
A senior police officer said that orders were passed by the district magistrate Baramulla after two men working at two bakeries tested positive for Covid 19, he said that bakery was buried by magistrate and police to safeguard health of people.
He further said that they are trying to identify people in Kangroosa and at other villages who purchased bakery items from the same bakeries in past few days.
