JAMMU: In view of ongoing Forest Fire season, the Forest Department has established 172 fire control rooms across the Jammu region for prevention and control of forest fires.
The department has also started a Toll Free Number 1800 180 7181 to register and respond to any information on forest fire. ‘On getting information, the concerned control room and the staff would be alerted for immediate response towards dealing with the fire and prevent the damage to forests and other life forms.
