SRINAGAR: Acting tough against social crimes, Srinagar Police have arrested four gamblers from a gambling site. A police party from Police Station Parimpora & Police Post Qamarwari raided a gambling site following an input about gambling activities and apprehended four gamblers identified as Taimur Ahmad sheikh resident of Sir Syed Abad Bemina, Mohd Shafi Shah resident of Gousia Colony Bemina, Hilal Ahmad Bazaz and Gulzar Ahmad Dar both residents of Rampora Chattabal for gambling offences. Officers have seized playing cards, mobile phones and stake money of ₹22600/- from the gamblers.

Case FIR No. 71/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Parimpora. Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighborhood with the local police units.
