Sumbal : Police on Thursday arrested about two dozen people who who had gathered for night prayers in Jamia Masjid Pethpora Nesbal in Sumbal in of ongoing corona lockdown.
A police officer while confirming to Kashmir Reader said that some locals informed and requested to disperse congregational gathering in Mosque. , Subsequently, a team of police including SHO Sumbal Muneeb-ul-Islam accompanied by SDM Sumbal Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari reached the spot and found a gathering of over three dozen people.
But some youth pelted them with stones injuring driver of SDM Sumbal, Bukhari on Facebook said that the driver was hospitalised and his condition is stable.
A case has been filed in Police Station Sumbal.
