In first phase, DAK sends 150 PPE’s to medical staff in hospitals in Kashmir

Srinagar: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Monday said it has send about 150 Personal protective equipment’s (PPE) and protective glass goggles to hospitals in Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Budgam and Anantnag in the first phase. “In its 2nd phase DAK will cover District Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Srinagar and Ganderbal,” the statement said. Each suite has been manufactured locally after discussing the design and other logistical issues with the manufacturers, it reads. “These suits are waterresistant, non-breathable, washable and sterilizable. To start with we have ordered about 400 PVC coverall suits and are donating them free of cost to our doctors. Initially, we are focusing on the high-risk areas like hospitals where quarantine/ isolation/sampling and FLU OPDs for suspects of Covid-19 have been setup,” it added.
