Srinagar : Helpline numbers for senior citizens have been established across Kashmir by police in a view of emergency situation. “Police have taken an initiative in view of the emerging situation that senior citizens might have been facing difficulties in meeting out their basic needs due to Covid-19 lockdown across the valley so that they are not forced by the circumstances to move out of their houses in search of essentials,” the statement said. Police is committed, it reads, to reach out to the people in distress and requested them not to come out of their homes until any exigency and follow all the advisories issued by the administration.
