Pampore’s Frestbal without electricity for last 10 days, residents outraged

Pampore: In view of 21-day lockdown with people asked to stay at their homes, residents of Pampore’s Frestbal say that its becoming increasingly difficult for them to spend time without electricity. A local Farooq Ahmad told Kashmir Reader that Chaar Yaar Park Mohalla of Frestabal has no electricity for last 10 days. “As we are under lockdown, the passing time has become increasingly difficult without electricity,” residents said. They said that from mobile phones, television and all other modern gadgets work on electricity and in the absence of electricity – they have been cut off from the rest of the world. “We don’t know about what is happening around us. We can’t access the internet and call people as we can’t charge our phone,” they said. They appealed DC Pulwama, Tehsildar and Executive Engineer PDD to look into the matter and provide them with electricity as per schedule. When Kashmir Reader contacted executive engineer, he said that the curtailment is being done by the grid station and officials at grid station blamed executive engineer.
