“105 persons were moved to quarantine at IUST Awantipora, 22 to Kong posh and 20 to Darul Uloom Shahi Hamadan in Pampore,” said Medical Officer SDH Pampore, Dr Mohammad Ashraf.

He said that many people had concealed their travel history to other countries and “concerned residents informed us that they were staying at home”.
“These persons were identified and sent to quarantine,” he said.
“We have launched a crackdown against people who are hiding their travel history to Coronavirus hit countries,” said Tehsildar Pampore, Ishtiyaq Mohi ud Din, adding that all such persons who returned from other countries or other states of India are being identified and put in quarantine facilities.
“There is an apprehension that if anyone among them turns out to be positive, then we have to put around 600 people in quarantine – and to avoid that situation, we are proactively tracing these people,” he said, adding that people are requested to inform them about any person who had travel history.
