6 booked in Bandipora for violating restrictions

Hajin/Ganderbal: Six persons were booked in north Kashmir’s Hajin on Friday for violating Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.
An FIR no 10/2020 under section 188 IPC have been registered at Police station Hajin against six persons for violating restriction orders. All the accused have been arrested by Police during patrolling.
Appealing the public to stay indoors for their own safety, District Magistrate Bandipora said that the chain of this pandemic can be broken only by staying indoors.
He appealed the general public to cooperate with the administration and ensure strict adherence to the order. He said violation of the order would constitute criminal offence and strict action would be taken against violators.
In Ganderbal, police have filed a case against a number of people for violating restrictions in Kangan area on Friday.
Police official confirmed that they have registered a case against several people who have assembled for Friday prayers.
Police said admin has asked people to avoid offering prayers in Masjids to prevent social gathering so that this chain of transmission could be stopped.
“We request people to stay at home and stay safe,” police officer said.
