Shopian/ Budgam: The district administrations in Budgam and Shopian have ordered imposition of Section 144 CrPC in the entire districts.
An order issued by Deputy Commissioner Shopian’s office reads that a ban on assembling of more than five persons has been imposed for a period of one month.
According to recent media reports, many non local people including labourers have jumped the government screening established at Lowermunda and many tourists were not quarantined, which according to locals led to the imposition of Section 144 in the district.
The ddistrict administration of Budgam imposed restrictions on the gathering of more than 5 persons at any public place with immediate effect till 31 March.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam Mushtaq Ahmad told Kashmir Reader that “police have been given directions to prevent the gathering of more than 5 persons. The police will take action against those who violate the rules.”
