CRPF constable injured in Kakapora grenade attack

PULWAMA: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable was injured on Tuesday evening after suspected militants lobbed a grenade towards a police station at Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Militants hurled the grenade on police station Kakapora, however the grenade exploded outside the wall of police station.
Police at the station fired a few aerial shots.
A senior police officer confirmed to Kashmir Reader that militants fired a grenade towards the police station at Kakapora. In the incident, he said, one CRPF jawan identified as Sonu Kumar of 41 battalion sustained injuries and was immediately shifted to hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be stable.
Soon after the incident, security forces conducted searches to nab the assailants, reports said.
