Congress holds workers convention in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: Congress party held a workers convention in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday. The convention was organised by the district congress committee Baramulla at Shirwani Hall Baramulla where various issues were discussed. The event was attended by new district President Fayaz Ahmad Mir, chairman Muncipal council Umer Kakroo, chairman BDC Narvaw Iqbal Mir, State secretary Mahila Congress Jasbir Kour, president MC Uri Bharat Kumar, elected Councillors, sarpanch’s and panchs besides senior leaders and block presidents . Several congress leaders including Iqbal Mir, Umer Kakroo, and new district president Fayaz Ahmad Mir addressed the gathering and assured them that congress party will always fight from the side of Kashmiri people as the party has done in past. All the leaders appealed workers to work for the betterment of society. This was first workers convention held by Congress in Baramulla after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A in August last year.
