50 illegal shops demolished in Tral

TRAL: The revenue officials accompanied by other departments in Tral carried out demolition drive in the area razing more than 50 shops that had been illegally erected in the town.
Additional deputy Commissioner of the area A R Raina, led the operation said that notices were served to the persons who had constructed these illegal structures, to vacate from the state land. He said that the land retrieved from the encroachment will be used for road widening.
The officials told Kashmir Reader that more than four dozen shops were constructed illegally on state in the vicinity of bus stand Tral and were causing traffic jams in the area
Executive Officer Municipal Committee Tral Manzoor Ahmad told Kashmir Reader in the drive, around 50 shops were razed.
Naib Tehsildar Tral, officials from R&B, PDD, PHE, police and other were also a part of the drive.
