NIA conducts more raids in Shopian

Shopian: National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted more raids for second day on Monday at several places in south Kashmir’s Shopian.
In the morning, NIA team raided a house of Reyaz Ahmad Thoker at Dragad in Shopian
Locals said that Thoker was detained on behalf of his ailing brother who allegedly was an over ground worker of militants. Raids were also conducted at the home of active Hizb militant Umar Dhobi. Dhobi’s brother Faizan Ahmad was also detained for questioning by the agency. Locals said that NIA officials were accompanied by policemen and army.
The agency officials arrived in the Valley to carry out investigations in the backdrop of arrest of Dysp Davinder Singh alongside Hizb militants including Naveed Babu. The trio along with OGW was arrested from a car on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Kulgam district.
Meanwhile, the persons who were taken for questioning by the NIA were released by Monday evening. On Sunday, Tariq Ahmad Sheikh, a relative of Naveed was also detained. He, according to police sources, was released later.
