Pampore villagers slam admin over non-clearance of snow

PAMPORE: The residents of various villages in Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have accused mechanical engineering department for failing to clear snow on different roads and link roads.
Villagers from Ladhoo, Shaar, Wahab Sahab and adjoining areas informed that many roads and link roads in their area are still closed due to snow.
Mohammad Yaseen Poswal, a representative of Gujjar -Bakerwal community in Ladhoo area told Kashmir Reader that snow was not cleared from Pampore – Wahab Sahab road despite telephonically appealing mechanical engineering wing of R&B department.
“They didn’t bother after which we took up the matter with Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Laghaw Langer on whose instruction the road was cleared of snow,” Poswal said, adding they cleared the road only up to Wahab Sahab and ignored the road leading to upper areas.
He also accused them for ignoring many link roads passing through the villages in the area.
