SRINAGAR: A militant associate was arrested here linked to active outfit JeM operating in Tral area, police said on Sunday.
“He has been identified as Rasiq Maqbool Sheikh resident of PastoonaTral,” the statement said.
It added, “Incriminating materials have been recovered from his possession. All the recovered incriminating material has been taken into records for the purpose of investigation and to probe his complicity in other terror crimes.”
As per the police records, he is involved in providing logistic support to the active JeMmilitants operating in Tral area, it said.
Case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Tral in the instant matter. Further investigation is in progress, the statement said.
