MeT predicts fresh wet spell

SRINAGAR: The Meteorological department on Wednesday predicted fresh bout of rains and snowfall in hilly areas on December 20.
An official from MeT department told the Kashmir Reader that upper reaches in the Valley will receive moderate snowfall from Thursday.
He said that night temperatures are expected to increase from December 20 and the day temperature will plunge further.
The day temperature in Srinagar was recorded at 5.8 degree Celsius with minus 3.2 degree Celsius in night.
Meanwhile, only-way traffic will be allowed on Srinagar-Jammu highway.
An official from the traffic control department said that only vehicles from Jammu will be allowed to proceed towards Srinagar on the highway today.
