4 arrested allegedly for threatning, arson in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: Police in Baramulla arrested four persons , who according to them were involved in arson and threatening of the locals in the area.
In a statement issued here the police said that earlier in November, Police Station Baramulla received an information that some miscreants have set ablaze shops in Baramulla markets at three different locations due to which
several shops including a shopping complex got damaged.
Consequently upon receipt of information case FIR No. 181/2019 under relevant section of laws was registered at PS Baramulla and investigation into the matter was initiated.
It further said during the course of investigation, officers taking help of modern scientific and technological aids were able to identify the miscreants involved in this crime. Subsequently police was able to track the
accused and they were arrested.
Arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Maroof Saliah, Bilal Mehraj Bhat, Sameer Ahmad Shakroo residents of Kanlibagh Baramulla and Aadil Gaffar Sofi resident of Iqbal Colony Baramulla.
Further investigation in the matter is in progress.
