300 passengers stranded on Kokernag road for last 22 days

Srinagar: Around 300 passengers are stranded on Kokernag-Margintop road falling in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district from the last three weeks after the road was closed for traffic.
The stranded passengers have taken shelter in nearby villages as they are waiting for evacuation, a local news agency reported after The passengers, mostly from Wudwan and Marwah in Kishtwar are stranded in Kokernag area and are waiting for being airlifted to their homes.
They said they are facing immense hardships due to continuous blockade of the road. They said that due to early blockade of the road they have not stored the stock yet for winter.
The stranded passengers appealed higher ups to restore the road as soon as possible or airlift them to their area.
