#HealthForAll: World Health Day’ celebrated across Kashmir

Srinagar: Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) today celebrated the World Health Day 2018 across all the health institutions of Kashmir Division.

The theme for this year was “Universal Health Coverage: everyone, everywhere” with the slogan “Health for All”. The primary hashtag used was #HealthForAll in addition to #WorldHealthDay.

On this day, the Department of Health carried out various activities including health camps for creating awareness among general masses and also for screening of people for various diseases including Hypertension and Diabetes, the DHSK statement said.

 A total of 62 health camps were organized across Kashmir Division. Doctors from various specialties treated the patients and free drugs were given to patients.  On this occasion, the people were also apprised about the various health programmes and services being provided by the Department.

While stressing the importance of observing World Health Day, Director Health Services, Kashmir, Dr. Saleem ur Rehman said that all people should be able to realize their right to the highest possible level of health. He also appreciated the efforts of the field staff and the organizers for conducting the multi specialty health camps.
