Srinagar: A senior police officer was critically injured after being hit by a stone during clashes between youth and forces at  Fore-Shore road Srinagar, reports said.

According to reports, Station House Officer Nigeen,  Manzoor Ahmad Beigh R/o Alochi Bagh was  injured critically, after being hit by a stone near Dagh Park. He was coming from Hazratbal Srinagar when the incident happened.

“The stone hit his forehead as a result his right eye was partially damaged” , local witnesses said.

He has been shifted to hospital with a massive cut on his head and around fifteen stitches were performed on his forehead, sources said.
