Srinagar: Awami Itehaad party (AIP) president and MLA Langate, Engineer Abdul Rasheed Sheikh along with his scores of supporters Monday staged protest against the Shopian carnages, demanding New Delhi to grant Right o Self Determination to people of Kashmir.
The Langate legislator along with his supporters holding placards assembled outside Srinagar’s Press Enclave and chanted slogans in favour of Right to Self Determination and against the killings in Kashmir.
They held sit-in to protest against the killings in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday.
The lawmaker told reporters that the people of Kashmir should be given Right to self determination as promised by the erstwhile leaders of India.
“Killings won’t resolve anything. A political resolution is must to solve the long pending Kashmir issue,” he added.
