SOPORE: Hundreds of residents of Watergam Rafiabad area in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday blocked Baramulla-Kupwara highway for hours protesting against the Power Development Department (PDD) for failing to provide electricity in the area from last many weeks.
The protesting residents blocked the highway besides locking the receiving station Watergham, reports said.
The enraged protesters while blaming PDD of ‘indifference’ towards their genuine concerns said that the government was neglecting the people despite making promises time and again.
