Kamran Yousuf released from jail

Srinagar: Kashmiri photojournalist Kamran Yousuf, who was arrested for allegedly pelting stones six months ago, was released from a Delhi jail on Wednesday.

Pertinently, Kamran was granted bail by a National Investigative Agency (NIA) special court in Delhi on Monday and was released today against two sureties of Rs 50,000, according to the bail order.

Kamran, a freelance photojournalist from Jammu and Kashmir was arrested by India’s investigation agency, NIA on September 5, 2017, and later charged with sedition, criminal conspiracy, and attempting to wage war against India.
