Schools, colleges reopen in Kashmir

Srinagar: After remaining shut for a day following the killing of three militants,  schools and colleges re-opened across the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday.

Pertinently, the educational institutions were ordered to shut down on Monday after the gunfight in Anantnag district.

Three militants were killed in the gunfight with government forces in Hakura village of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district yesterday.

Following the killings the authorities had ordered closure of schools and colleges in Srinagar and south Kashmir yesterday while all BOSE and Kashmir University exams were also postponed.

However authorities have decided to re-open schools and colleges across Kashmir today.
