Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Saturday took out a protest march against Kuthua rape and murder, demanding accused be brought to justices without any further delay.

Scores of NC activists led by the youth president of the party Salman Sagar took out the protest march from its party headquarters at Nawai Subha complex to Governor’s house.

The party leaders shouted slogans against the government and demanded that justices for Asifa.

Asifa, an 8-year-old girl was raped and murdered in January after she went missing from her home on January 10. Her body was found on January 17.

The investigation by Crime branch into the case has revealed that the person claimed to be juvenile is actually an adult and that it was not an ordinary crime but was in consonance with a large conspiracy to dislodge Bakerwal (nomad) community from Rasana Village in the district.
